Hands on History and Art Camp, for students who have completed grades 4-7 and will be entering grades 5-8 in the fall, takes place the 2nd week of June at the museum and in the surrounding community. Artists and educators Faith Revell and Jan Whalen team up to integrate hands-on history lessons and art-making and ultimately create multi-faceted experiences for attendees.
Camp is divided into two sessions. “Little Culture Kids,” the younger set of students, participate in morning activities, while “Big History Buffs” gather in the afternoon from 1-4 pm. All students arrive “dressed for mess” and bring appropriate outdoor wear every day. For camp details click here.
This year’s summer camp theme is “flight.” Camp takes place June 8-12.
