(2,000 Books)
Our reference collection contains 2,000 titles published between 1898-present. All these materials relate to our region and provide invaluable support for research. Among our more valuable publications are prospector Basil Austin’s Diary of a Ninety-Eighter, Ella Higginson’s 1908 Alaska, Trailing and Camping by Addison Powell, and the U.S. Geological Survey’s 1898-1899 annual report entitled Explorations in Alaska in 1898. More recent works have been added to the collection including Samme Gallaher’s Sisters about her years in the Copper Valley in the 1920s and 1930s.
