This exhibition is a playful collection of collages and paintings by Homer-based artist Sharlene Cline, whose work is inspired by Asian brushwork. Cline’s compositions are crafted of layers of calligraphic watercolor painting, decorative paper and acrylics. Cline’s work aims to create associations and appreciation of the birds and flowers found in the Copper River Delta, deepening the viewer’s connection with the land.
Please join us for a “meet and greet” with exhibition artist Sharlene Cline from 10 – 11 am on Sat. Jan 18th. Light refreshments will be served at this free event.
Exhibition sponsored in part by the Copper Valley Electric Association Community Foundation, Valdez Gold Rush Days, Alaska State Council on the Arts and National Endowment for the Arts.
