Informally known as “DUC,” this signature museum program “mines the museum” to start and then stirs together a mix of artifact study with lessons on history, culture, language, science and more. Each session culminates with making art. Some of the topics explored to-date include historic portraits, Alutiiq masks, Salmon fishing, Alaskan lighthouses and museum field journaling.
Workshops take place year-round. School-age children, adults and families are welcome to attend.
