The works of artist Justine Pechuzal from Seward, Alaska now fill the Egan Commons with colorful renditions of her many solo kayak adventures around the most wild and remote parts of Prince William Sound. Justine will visit Valdez to give a workshop and talk on Saturday October, 27th from 9am to 1pm at the Valdez Museum.
Participants will learn how a painting comes together from concept to image, creating a work of art in acrylic based upon Pechuzal’s Oyster Catcher, but with your own individual twist. The class begins with a writing exercise based on the theme of “journey.” What a wonderful combination!
In addition, there will be a gallery “Walk & Talk” with the artist at 4pm on Oct. 27th in the Egan Commons.
For more information or to register for the art workshop drop by the Museum or email: educator@valdezmuseum.org.
