Hands on History and Art Camp for students entering grades 1-8 takes place for one week during the summer at the museum and in the surrounding community. Artists and educators Faith Revell and Jan Whalen team up to integrate hands-on history, local excursions and art-making and ultimately create multi-faceted experiences for attendees.
Camp is divided into two sessions. “Little Culture Kids,” the younger set of students, participate in morning activities while “Big History Buffs” gather in the afternoon. All students arrive “dressed for mess” and bring appropriate outdoor wear every day. The cost is $60 per child per week for Little Culture Kids and $70 per child for Big History Buffs.
