Do you love to visit with visitors and enjoy learning and sharing about Valdez past and present? We want to hear from you! Valdez Museum Team seeks part-time Museum Ambassadors, and a Marketing & Merchandising Assistant for the 2026 Season. Museum Ambassadors start between $18 and $20/hr and can work as few as eight hours a week, partial days, or on a rotating shift schedule.
Seasonal staff at Valdez Museum have the opportunity to gain knowledge of our local history, customer service and retail experience, workplace collaboration and strengths-based skills development.Valdez Museum and Historical Association (VMHA), a 501(c)3 non-profit museum, is contracted with the City of Valdez to maintain and operate the Museum, archives and sites for collections care. The Museum has developed a reputation for presenting thought provoking, yet accessible exhibits and programs. VMHA strives to make measurable changes in community conditions and improve lives by offering enrichment opportunities in developing healthy children, families and community through our exhibits, cultural programs, education and historical interpretation.
