Valdez Museum is radioing the tower — not with a distress call, but with bold vision and hometown pride. We’re preparing for takeoff, and we need our community to help lay the runway before us.

This isn’t just about our need for a larger facility, it’s about growing our connection to each other through shared history, creative expression, and community storytelling. Native Gallery Revival – Co-created with our Alaska Native neighbors, this renewed space will honor Indigenous stories and culture

 Deepening Our Aviation History – From bush pilots to air rescues, we’ll take flight with new storytelling and hands-on exhibits

 Expanding the Trans-Alaska Pipeline Story – A fresh look at the people, engineering, and legacy of this pivotal chapter

Preserving the Voices of Old Town and Chenega – While 1964 earthquake survivors are still with us, we must capture their stories with care and urgency

We’re charting a new course to create more space, more programs, and more ways to tell the stories that define Valdez, the Copper River Basin and Prince William Sound — for the families who live here and the generations to come.
