VMHA Celebrates Museum Store Sunday

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

“Museum Store Sunday” Celebrated Worldwide

Valdez, Alaska: On Sunday, November 29th the Valdez Museum will take part in a global celebration designed to encourage direct community engagement through visitation and sales in participating cultural institutions. Museum Store Sunday is a signature advocacy initiative of the Museum Store Association.

According to a blog post from the American Alliance of Museums:

“More than fifteen hundred museum stores representing five continents, twenty-three countries, and all fifty United States plus the District of Columbia, will offer inspired shopping at cultural institutions on Museum Store Sunday. Since every venue is unique, each store’s approach to this international event and shopping campaign will be different. There is no right or wrong way to participate on November 29th, it only matters that your museum store does so!”

Indeed, for Museum Store Sunday the Valdez Museum offers a special incentive during regular hours, 12 – 4 pm, on Sunday, November 29th. Shoppers can take advantage of a 10% discount on merchandise costing $10 or more, except for consignment items. Kick off your holiday shopping at the Museum Store, where you’ll find inspiring, creative and educational gifts for friends and family while supporting your community museum!
