Thank You 2019 Row’d House Participants!

Valdez, Alaska, October 8, 2019 – This year the Valdez Museum honored the United States Coast Guard in Valdez with the theme: Row’d House Dinner, a recognition of the many years of service in which the U.S. Coast Guard has maintained a presence in Prince William Sound. From the patrols of the Revenue Cutter Service in the 1860’s to the spill drills of today, the Coast Guard continues to be an important part of our community by ensuring the safety and well-being of people who live in coastal Alaska.

Decorations for this year’s event at the Valdez Civic Center took on a nautical theme. Red white and blue were the prevailing colors, and mini lighthouse centerpieces on the 18 tables created a soft glow throughout the ballrooms. Blazing images of a giant anchor and lighthouse projected on the side walls added to the glow. A compelling slide show of Coast Guard activities was featured on the opposite wall.

The Museum offers up a big THANK YOU to all the organizers, sponsors, auction donors, bakers, volunteers and attendees for making this year’s Row’d House Dinner a rousing success as we raised over $24,000!

All funds raised at this event are used to support the Museum’s mission driven educational programs, exhibits and presentations.
