Summer Schedule Starts May 30th

Valdez, Alaska, May 10, 2021: The Valdez Museum & Historical Archive (VMHA) is looking forward to a busy summer, and our number one goal is to provide the community and visitors from around the world with a safe and engaging museum experience.

Summer Hours at Valdez Museum on Egan:

  • 10 am to 4 pm Tuesday through Sunday, Closed Monday
  • $7 per person, 13 & under free; $5 Seniors & Active Duty Military,
  • Museum Members free

Remembering Old Valdez Exhibit located inside the Valdez Museum on Hazelet is again opening to the public after last year’s summer closure. Visitors are welcomed in by museum staff three days a week for one-hour sessions twice a day on:

  • Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday
  • 1-2 pm & 2:30-3:30 pm
  • $5.00 per person, Museum Members free

Visitors must pre-pay and pre-register in person at the Valdez Museum on Egan or by phone, 907-835-2764.

This summer two new exhibits share the Egan Commons. Mountain Treasures: Kennecott, Alaska and Iceberg Lake features the work of Cordova artist Karl Becker. It is coupled with an exhibit of conceptual designs drawings for our New Museum Project. They were crafted by the architectural team of Wolf/Hennebery Eddy.
