New Museum Designs on Display

Valdez, Alaska, April 12, 2021: A Design Review Open House held on March 17, 2021 was well received, when more than 20 visitors came in to view a series of conceptual designs crafted by the architectural team of Wolf/Hennebery Eddy. Wolf Project Manager Chris Whitington-Evans was on hand to chat with folks, plus answer their questions and concerns. An offshoot of the March Open House is that these design drawings now comprise a new temporary exhibit currently on display in the Museum’s Egan Commons. Each drawing incorporates a detailed explanation about what the image represents, and visitors have an opportunity to log in comments about the proposed building designs.

Working with actual images enhances our vision for a new consolidated museum facility that allows us to better serve the community of Valdez and beyond. And we continue to meet our goal of transparency during each phase of the New Museum Project.
