Local Art at the Museum Store

Local Art at the Museum Store

The community of Valdez is fortunate to have a wealth of artists who enjoy sharing their work, and the Valdez Museum is a direct beneficiary. Currently we are featuring four local artists who have submitted works in a variety of mediums for sale now in the Museum Store.

Shari Miller has created an array of colorful fused glass art pieces that include wall hangings, a halibut platter, glass bowl and eye-catching earrings and necklaces. Local potter Jan Whalen has made a series of whimsical “critter pots” and fanciful birdhouses. Shana Anderson’s beautiful felted wool scarves, shawls and hats add notes of color for store visitors to enjoy and bring home, while Lydia Rountree shares her unique candles in the shape of angels, bunnies, trees and flowers made with beeswax she harvests from her own Valdez bee hives.

Come on down to the Valdez Museum at 217 Egan Drive and check out these offerings and more on sale now at the Museum Store.

Summer open hours are 9 am – 5 pm Daily.
