Location Notice, Red Head, Oct. 14, 1898. PWSMDR, Bk.2, p. 80; Arrived at Orca on Valdencia 4/8/1898 with his uncle, Mikkel O. Gladhaugh; assisted Gladhaugh with his Ellamar propery “carrying out surveying and assessment work and taking care of registrations, contracts, banking business and correspondence for him.” Left Alaska in November 1898, never returned; became U.S. Immigration Officer in Larimore and Grand Forks ND, and later in Winnipeg, Canada.
