Mug Up Journeys: The Hidden History of Alaska’s Cannery Crew, is a presentation by Dr. Katherine Ringsmuth, PhD, Director <NN> Cannery History Project, which highlights stories of the diverse and often invisible cannery workers who contributed to the industrial and cultural fabric of Alaska. The cannery operated from 1895 to 2015, and for over a century it was the centerpiece of the Bristol Bay salmon fishery.
