Design Drawings on Display

Valdez, Alaska, April 8, 2021: The Valdez Museum & Historical Archive (VMHA) is moving forward with its New Museum Project and we continue to share this progress with the community. A Design Review Open House held on March 17, 2021 was well received, when more than 20 visitors came in to view a series of conceptual designs crafted by the architectural team of Wolf/Hennebery Eddy. Wolf Project Manager Chris Whitington-Evans was on hand to chat with folks, plus answer their questions and concerns.

An offshoot of the March Open House is that the impressive set of design drawings now comprise a new temporary exhibit currently on display in the Museum’s Egan Commons. Each drawing has a detailed explanation about what the images represent, and visitors will have an opportunity to log in comments about the proposed building designs for our New Museum Project.

Hours for the Valdez Museum on Egan Drive are:

Tuesday – Sunday, 12 – 4 pm, Closed Monday

Please feel free to drop by and learn more about this important project and offer your feedback. We want to hear from you!
