Celebrating Valdez Artists

CVA: On the Edge

Downloadable CVA Form: CVA2015 Entry Form

Beginning this fall, the Valdez Museum’s brings back Celebrating Valdez Artists the museum’s biennale community art exhibition. This non-juried exhibit is open to artists of all backgrounds, working in all 2D and 3D media, showcasing the exciting variety of works produced by Valdez’s talented artists. Dedicated to cultivating our local arts, the exhibit offers a venue for emerging artists to display and share their creative visions. In doing so, we invite professional and amateur artists alike to gather, share ideas, and delight in this most important of human endeavors, that of artistic expression.

New to Celebrating Valdez Artists this year is the introduction of a unifying theme, “On the Edge.” Artists are invited to submit up to 2 works that respond to this theme, using their own interpretation of whatever it may mean to them. The exhibit is open to all non-student Valdez residents over 18; additional requirements are listed on the attached entry form. If you have artwork that you are proud of, please share it at the museum for the whole community to enjoy!

The exhibit runs September 12, 2015 through January 3, 2016. An opening reception will be held at the museum on September 18, from 6 to 8 P.M.
