KINDERQUAKE!

Students build a toy Old Town Valdez on a canvas floor mat and SHAKE! The dock collapses, the Alaskan Hotel crumbles, the National Guard comes to help, and the town is relocated. Kids learn what really happened to Old Valdez during the '64 Good Friday earthquake in this super-exciting hands-on activity.

Enjoy this colorful PowerPoint slide presentation that was actually assembled by kindergarten students! The photos show artistic creations by artist Betty McIntosh. This a collection of twenty-six poster sized tempra cut-outs of Alaska themes to reinforce the learning of the alphabet.
