Newspapers (5,500 Editions)

This collection contains approximately 4,000 editions of the ten newspapers that operated in Valdez dating from 1901 through 1942 and from 1955 through present day. The collection is nearly complete, with only random issues missing. There are also another 1,500 editions of short-run publications such as a complete set of Camp Follower, a pipeline construction era weekly that covered worker and construction news, and the McCarthy News that operated from 1920-1922.
