Though Valdez's maritime history dates back to the turn-of-the-century, most of our collection dates from the 1960s to the present day and reflects industrial shipping. Life rings from most of the oil tankers that have visited Valdez are included in this collection. We have also acquired hardware from ships that no longer exist, including name plates from the Tankers Exxon Valdez and ARCO Juneau.
