Tramp Art Frame
In total, nearly 100,000 photographs, documents, maps, videotapes, and objects make up the collections of the Valdez Museum. Some of the more interesting and curious objects are highlighted below.

Tramp Art Frame, C.1890. Found in a deserted cabin on Fairmount Island in 1943.

Copper Still, C.1920. Origin Unknown.

Volkswagen Door, C.1964. From a bus that was donated to the City of Valdez by Volkswagen to aid in the construction of New Town after the 1964 earthquake.

Taku Glacier Maiden
Photograph, C.1910-1920, titled, Taku Glacier Maiden. Interesting example of early 20th century exploration of photographic technique.

 Scrimshaw on Ivory, C.1900. Artist/Provenance Unknown.

Prospector's Sled, C. 1898-1900. Long ago abandoned and finally extracted from the ice on the Valdez Glacier in 2001.
